Cocoa says: "This is a short story I wrote up about a sad little hamster. This is NOT a
true story! If it was, the owner of the hamster would get into BIG touble with
the ASPCA!"
One day, there lived a hamster, that was treated with no care. She had no
name, because she was treated so badly. Every night when she awoke, she only
got 3 pieces of food. That hamster was so skinny, her ribs showed. She was so
sad looking.
After the hamster’s owner refused to give the hamster any food, the hamster
thought of trying to escape.
That night, the hamster lifted the opening in her cage and climbed out. She
climbed up the curtains and sat on the windowsill. She began biting the screen
wire continuously and made a hole. She backed away, and then jumped out. She
landed on a lawn chair, and then bounced off into the grass.
"Where am I?" she thought.
The hamster began eating the grass. She then scampered around, and ate some
flower leaves. She then started digging a little burrow. She crawled into it,
and cleaned herself. She the curled up into a ball, and fell asleep.
The next morning, she was awoken by a sudden CRASH!
She crawled out of her little burrow, to see what was going on. The outside
light on the house had fallen, and smashed into thousands of bite sized pieces
of glass.
The hamster knew she wasn’t safe here. She scurried about, trying to avoid
the pieces of glass everywhere. She eventually made her way to a large wooden
fence. She started digging, and crawled underneath. She got stuck, but
eventually made her way out. She had made it into the other yard.
The poor little hamster was exhausted. She laid in the middle of the yard.
Soon after, a girl with blonde hair came outside, and picked the hamster up.
"Oh, you poor little hamster," said the girl.
The girl took the hamster into the house. Soon after, the hamster woke up,
and cleaned herself.
"I’m going to take care of you now," said the girl. "I’m going to name you,
err... hmm... perhaps... Cappuccino!"
Cappuccino looked up at the girl and cleaned herself. Now, Cappuccino had a
good owner and good home. Cappuccino was always happy to be with her new
owner.
