My hamster is lovely
         so lovely I say,
It almost made me cry of joy one day
        Don't underestimate my hamster
that is so tamed.She learns new tricks and likes
to eat mix and so wonderfully traned.

(This is a poem dedicated to the small lil creatures who do so much to enrich our daily lives. It is also dedicated to my sweet and special hamster Termite who turned 1 year old last week.)

A small little creature that can do so much
that has a way with people that can touch
without a care in the world
spinning away life twirl after twirl
yet as they spin we can escape
to the world of a hamster, simple and safe
as they have no idea how much they mean
just how much they help us that can only be seen
by a little hamster who is pure of heart
never selfish, just simple attention to start
so when you are sad, or having a bad day
just think of your hamster and how it would say
"don't be upset, come home and take me out of my cage to play!"
though they seem to be gone overnight
remember that they are always with you for life
