I am a well known hamster breeder in my town.  I had a nice mutt dwarf hamster.  It was a wonderful mother loving each hamster with a strong care.  Then for some strange reason she was parted from her children.  She went to the great hamster cage in the sky.  Her children were unweaned and crying.  I had nothing to do.  They would die of starvation.  Then I had a small spark of hope.  Another hamster had pups just recently.  She was a black bear.  There was not connection between the two breeds but I had to try it.  I slipped the crying pups into her cage.  The brood of the mother named Cute welcomed them happily.  Cute was just as happy.  After they were weaned most of the black bears were parted.  I breed for personality so it wouldn't matter the coat color.  I had bred a blue mink Syrian named Steve with Cute
They made some blacks albinos and one of my best hamsters yet.  He is like a calico hamster with blue eyes.  His fur has a blue tinge to it.  He stayed with the dwarfs as their friend.  He loved them dearly.  They played on the wheel and in the food bowl and even slept together.  Until all the babies were gone.  He is still with me loving me but sad with his loss of adopted siblings.  Now he is a great grandpa and loves it.
