"Okay, let's go get my new hamster," I said as we got out of the
car and headed into "Pet World" anxious to go in and get my new hamster. The
door chimed as I walked in and saw rabbits,. mice, guinea pigs, fish, and
HAMSTERS! I ran over to the hamsters who were running around, playing, and just
having fun! While my brother looked at all the animals, I looked at the
hamsters. There were brand new babies that didn't have their eyes open yet.
There was one hamster who was lying on it's back. " I think it's dead" mom
gasped. I knew it was sleeping. " No mom it's only sleeping," I laughed.
At that moment I saw the hamster, my
hamster, that was the perfect friend. He was trying to climb up the glass and
he kept staring at me. Then, the store owner's daughter came and asked me
which hamster I wanted. I knew immediately which one I wanted. I poked the
glass to show her that I wanted the hamster that was trying to climb up the
glass. Then suddenly she pulled out the hamster and gave him to me. I
instantly
took him and held him carefully and lovingly.
I noticed a little black puppy with a red
bandana around it's neck. The store owner's daughter took the soon to be named
Hampton and put him in a plastic container with bedding we bought for the trip
back home. At the check out a woman came in and started talking to the store
owner about a hamster she had bought that was pregnant when she bought it. It
had had babies right after they got it. We paid for Hampton and went home .
Hampton has never bitten me and is a very
tame hamster. I have had him for about a month now and he truly is the perfect
......FRIEND!!
